Southern states update, March 2, 2007.

State-wise details of human trafficking cases in India reports that southern states accounted for over 85% of the total cases reported so far.

National Family Health Survey-3 findings for Karnataka, reveals that the State has not shown any improvement in the health sector in 2005-2006.
As per the same report India has among the highest number of cases of anaemia in the world, with about 79% of children in Andhra Pradesh suffering from the disease.
